A 90 year old woman shared this sentence with me this morning. "What can an old lady like me do?" I looked, gave her a smile and said, "you are an inspiration to me each day, as I walked into this building." She can be 90 year old but this woman is still very insightful with her thoughts! I learned a lot from her especially her lived experiences.
1. How do elderly individuals living independently describe their experience of Loneliness? 2. How do elderly individuals living independently interpret their experience of loneliness?

..words of wisdom...
Today a 91 year old woman asked me this question. "How do you make your face smooth and without wrinkles? Instead of answering her, I asked her this question, "Share with me how you make yourself stay healthy at this age?" She smiled and said, "You want to know the reason, be happy, eat healthy good, enough rest and have healthy spiritual life." That was a lesson for me today.

...I want to go home...
A 90 year old woman was saying to me today, "I want to go home to see my mother." It is very touching to listen to her because she does not know why she was saying that sentence. She repeated the same sentence about 8 times. I listened to know but eventually, I tried to distract her mind by saying let me bring you outside to see the wonderful weather today. While I was wheeling her I asked her, "where is home?" She started to tell me. This is what I enountered almost everyday in my working place, God bless all these wonderful residents.
