...never underestimate....and make other invisible...


Today as I walked along the corridor to my office, I saw this 89 year woman sitting on her wheel chair as if she was sleeping. Not to disturb her, I walked gently of not wanting to disturb her. But to my surprise, she said, "how are you today Peter?"
I could not believe it, because most of the time she will be sleeping as I used to pass by her each day. A great lesson for me. "Don't make other invisible." I responded to her, "I am doing fine, thank you?" She responded "you look good."

17 days to go.....



17 days to go, I will be in Paris, France to present my paper at the 19th World Congress of Gerontology and Geriatrics (July 5-9, 2009).

I will be presenting the topic on Loneliness and Lived Experiences of Elderly Individuals Living Independently: Hermeneutic Phenomenological Approach.
